It's too cute.
I just missed having that post end in 33 by a few seconds.
You know they are going to give away more than one, so there is no reason for either of us to give up hope just yet. Manta Santa just might stuff both our stockings!
Dear Manta Santa, irishsquid and me--UnderSeaBumbleBee have been very good all year and behaved ourselves on the forum. Please Manta Santa can we each have a shiny new spool? Irishsquid and I promise we won't throw them at anyone or tie a few feet of cave line on them and spin them around like a flying saucer. We know it is all fun until someone's eye gets poked out. Well except maybe BoneCrusher.
He posted a mean picture Manta Santa.:depressed: And I think if he got hit in the head with a flying spool saucer, that would not disqualify any good forum member from a spool. In fact, it would save you have having to deliver a bunch of coal or low viz on all his dives next year.

I love you to squidly didly! I like the Santa hat too in your avatar? Did you put that on in hopes that Manta Santa would soon be here?
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the boat house
Not a diver was stirring, not even a sea louse.
The dive boots were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that Manta Santa soon would be there.
The divers were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Manta reels danced in their heads.
And mama in her deep wreck, and I in my cave,
Had just settled our brains for a long waters brave.
When out on the surface there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the spot to see what was the matter.
Away to the top I swam like a flash,
Tore off mask and threw open my harness sash.
