My -1yr old Oceanic Delta 4 has a problem. When I get down to around 1500psi the 1st stage/tank starts making a ringing sound on every inhale. Its LOUD, divers around me all start looking at their computers thinking it is an alarm. It scares fish off as I try to take photos and is like having an alarm clock on my back.

I have taken it in twice to the LDS I bought it from and they can't find anything "wrong" with it. Took it in for a third time yesterday and waiting to hear their "plan".

What should I expect? Frankly I want a new one, is this unreasonable?

Thanks

I cant tell you what they will do, but I can tell you that if we try to fix it three times, and it still has the problem, we replace it. If we cant find the problem by then......you get a new one and the Manuf. gets an old reg ;)

Dont worry though, Oceanic will take care of you

I recall hearing that this was a pretty common problem with the Delta 4's, and was eventually fixed. As long as your LDS is diligent, I suspect that Oceanic will be accommodating.

Send a PM to Doug Krause. He's a manager for Oceanic and can check into your problem and make sure your LDS has the right resources to fix the problem or get Oceanic to fix it for you.
