Problem making the Abyss 7' long

Hi,
Just got the Mare MR22 Abyss today. Pretty excited. I wanted to change the original LP hose for the Abyss to 7' long hose.
Before the Abyss arrived I bought a 7' LP hose from LDS, but when I open the Abyss hose connection to the first stage, the original male connector is much bigger than the standard 7' hose male connector I got from the LDS.
I also got a Mare R2 Axis, removed the original R2 hose from 1st stage and put the standard 7' hose from the LDS to the first stage and it fit perfectly.

So is the Abyss hose connector to the first stage is not the standard LP connector?!!!.

Has anyone fitting a 7' hoseto the Abyss?

Sounds like you need a 1/2" fitting hose, not the standard 3/8". Reasonably common to obtain nowadays thanks to the popularity of Apeks regs.

He's right. If you want to save yourself the trouble, note the little peg thingy inside the port of the first stage, it will intefere with some of the narrower 1/2" hoses. If you can't get some money for the hose you have now get an adapter, they are only $5 or so.
