Hi,
we are creating virtual representations of real dive sites; we have done both natural reefs and wrecks (list is HERE).

We recently started working on the Prinse Willem V; we have a preliminary 3D model (see below) but we are looking for images/videos to allow us to design the details and the texturing.

Thank You for Your help

The folks up here in Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary have some drawings and video available on their website. They can be found in the embedded Google Map Shipwrecks - Google Maps and then selecting the ones that have drawings which isn't evident from the map page. You need to explore a bit. I remember that they have material on the Windiate http://thunderbay.noaa.gov/google/corneliabwindiate/windiatesiteplan.pdf and the Spangler http://thunderbay.noaa.gov/google/kylespangler/spanglersiteplan.pdf

Grecian is supposed to be in the works.

progress update on the Prins Willem V

We demonstrated the virtual dive site at the Our World Underwater dive show last week-end.

We plan to release the site in a couple of weeks

No hatch covers on the Willy. The holds are open and the remains of the cargo, 55 gallon drums, are exposed. Pretty good rendition though. Almost makes me want to boot up my sons windows machine.

Do you have any image of the drums?

Oh, I'm pretty impressed with the program. I met you at Our World and saw it in action. Regrettably, the only stuff I have on the Willy was taken with my Nikonos II a few years back and they are not very good. I have a Sony HDR-SR11 in a Top Dawg housing now and I could get you some really cherry stuff if I could get out there now. I won't be able to launch the boat until the ice is off though. I'd love to help you out if I could. I could get you the grand tour in High Def! Even the standard def is great with that rig.
