Was up there on Sat...did run into Netmage. Holy smokes...the place was packed. I don't believe I've ever seen the campside and parking lot that full. First dive was good but the following dives the vis dropped significantly. I guess this means the dive/training season is now if full swing.

A few of us went up to get in some practice before hitting Pelee Passage in two weeks. I think we are well prepared for less than stellar vis conditions.

OHHH SURE, post the day before you go why don't you!!!! This would have been a good excuse for me to go visit my father (and his new GF, YIKES!). One of these days Princess Pue.

Moonie is the newiest addition to the SB family. He is a traveling gnome that Lil' Irish Temper started up. I think he is in Cali right now but with any luck (a whole lot of it, I think) he will make it to the midwest.

Yeah, we got up there a little before noon. The lots were PACKED. We were in the camper that was parked to the north of the deep dock. We just went in off there. The shallow docks were way too crowded. Plus, everyone else that was diving were all AOW and deco. So they preferred it there. Plus, my DB was running a generator, and I think the other people camping would have wanted to choke him. (But it ran the AIR CONDITIONING....so hey..... Yes, keep in mind, Princess was holding court.....)

We dropped in from the deep side, swam along the wall, (did a quick drop deeper but realized that it was too cold, 39 at 60', bottom was 33 degrees) to the shallower. Came up near the bus. We almost swam smack into the plane the vis was so bad!!! We found out later that there was a wreck class that the instructor had run line all around and in the plane, blacked out their masks and had them doing drills!!!!! Vis was GONE.

Wish I had known you were there. Randy too!!! Can't believe he didn't locate me. But then the GPS device was probably concealed on MY car and not the camper........
