More than it’s worth. Take it to a UPS store and ask, it’s a function of weight and combined package dimensions. It also must be empty and valve removed.

I get it. I have 7/8 thread steel for my workbench and I have started doing regs other than mine and now need a tank with pro valve, unfortunately I live in Santa Fe nm and used tanks not available. I guess ill have to bite the bullet and buy new.

Look at piranha for some good deals if you can’t find locally, they usually include shipping on tanks I think. It’s a bit of a road trip but paragon in Tucson may be a good option too.

What tank are you wanting?
AL80?

Multiple options for easily testing a yoke reg having only 300 bar valves. The easiest would be to get a DIN to Yoke fill adapter which one can usually attach not only a yoke fill whip but most yoke first stages. Another option is use a small cylinder with a pro-valve. I have a 6 cuft and a 14 cuft cylinder. Which I just trans fill from a larger cylinder. Of course the best option is to get an HP manager which I hook directly to a cylinder via trans fill whip. My whip is modular. Gotta love a modular whipping.

For now I would go with the DIN to Yoke fill adapter which is the cheapest and quickest.

You might be surprised at how low the cost is. With PirateShip, Al80s can be as low as around $20 to ship, depending on distance. I'm in Salt Lake City, so face the same issue, and have had tanks shipped here for not a lot of money.

There seem to be a TON of used tanks in the Phoenix area on Craigslist and Marketplace. I bet shipping to Santa Fe won't be any more than $25, if the seller keeps the packaging to a minimum.

Edited to add: The ongoing debate about whether you can ship (using ground, which is cheapest anyway) while still having enough pressure to avoid a new visual inspection continues. You can do your own research there....
