You dragging those doubles back?

In Key West I pay $216 for a T of UHP. A T of 4.8 id $176.

Fill Express AKA Godiveflorida has it for $1 /cf or I believe 21/35 is $0.58 /cf and they also premix 18/45 and 15/55 for rates in the middle there.

how does that work?

in a 100cuft tank you would be paying $58 for 21/35

however, if you asked them to fill He to 35cuft you would be paying $35. Would they then charge $23 to top off with nitrox?

I am new to gas blending though, perhaps I am missing something :)

You are assuming their time, booster, and overhead are worth nothing?

no, I was assuming they were worth $1/cf less the cost of helium and profit margin :) But a $23 nitrox topoff would put a nitrox fill at over $30. Just seems a little high to me (even including overhead).

Don't get me wrong, I am not suggesting gouging. If that is the going price, then it is what it is, people can always shop around. However, if a nitrox fill is cheaper than that, then it would seem that getting 21/35 would be cheaper if done in two separate transactions.

I know that the fill station in question premixes and banks gas. I have no idea what their pricing is, because I do the same, so I haven't had the occasion to buy theirs. As long as I pay over 200 bucks for a 'T', I sell it at $2 a cubic foot. I have, however, bought 4 T's from Silent World, so I hope to take them to Miami and get them filled for $95. Airgas Key West and I just aren't seeing eye to eye on the price of UHP. Their only other customer for it is the government. I do not charge for the nitrox topoff, after all, the generators are running anyway.
