I also don't know what the cost of the strobe is, but I just bought the A95 and housing from BHPhoto for around $450.

I'm going a similar route with an a80. Found a strobe setup based on other posts here that really seems to work well. Bought a Sea&Sea YS-60 TTL/s on eBay - new in box $250. Added one of the controllers that these guys make: http://www.heinrichsweikamp.net/blitz/indexe.htm and I have a setup where the strobe mimics the pre-flash and the main flash, which I call the "poor man's TTL." By the way the guys at HeinrichsWeikamp are super easy to deal with. I emailed for exact costs etc.. got a reply same day (Monday), sent money via PayPal (they do the Euro exchange etc) and had the unit on Friday!

Also working on a tray and arms made from Loc-Line and garage scrap. Will post soon.
