I have stayed four times and visited but not stayed within a year. Pay attention to add on fee's not clearly stated in the basic room fee. Call Intercontinental add have them review all resort fees taxes etc. before making a decision. Also, discuss the Ambassadors Club which you pay to join and then they give you a one room upgrade and a free night. Really improves the value.

The rooms are really nice and an improvement from before the hurricane. I dive with Deep Blue and they (and most others) pick you up at the little dock in front of the breakfast restaurant.
No better way to wait for a dive and they have rinse tanks right there when you return.

I just can't pay more than double what I paid before for more marble and fancy spas. Maybe it's a sign of the times we are in but it just doesn't feel right. Oh, ScubaDu; just don't go there.

any one been here recently? any comments on scubadu?

Left a comment on your other thread but I'll repeat it here. I have stayed at the Presidente 19 times since 1992 and will be staying there again this coming May. I have also stayed at the old LaCeiba,Palace,Fiesta Americana and Occidental Grand. I dove with Scuba Du in 1993 and last year after diving with several " better " smaller operators. Will be glad to answer your questions regarding whatever concerns you may have.

P.S. Emmet Kelley was DEFINITELY hiding something!
