Preparing Mares prescription lenses

I was wondering if someone can tell me if it is necessary to prepare new prescription lenses for a Mares X-Vision mask the same way you would normally prepare a new mask (i.e. with toothpaste), or do Mares prescription lenses come minus the protective coating found on the regular lenses? Thanks!
