I'm buying my own tanks, and was wondering if there's a preferred method of putting your name on the tank. Paint, decal, stencil?

a sharpie on the tank itself, or on one of the inspection stickers? i figure a sharpie on the tank itself would be hard to get out if you ever want to sell the tank.

A little squirt of OFF! will get rid of a Sharpe mark. Imaging what that stuff does to your skin?

On the tank. A bit of Goof Off will remove it if needed.

My tanks have black boots. I write my name in huge letters on the boot, so it's visible from the back when I don my gear. I use a silver sharpie or a paint pen. I used to do a lot of boat diving so I wanted to make it easy for the boat crew to ID me. It was also easy for the dive shop staff to find my tanks when doing fills.

I did it the same was as well. I used a white paint marker from wally world. In fact, all of my dark gear gets this treatment, and light gear gets the sharpie.
