You must be joking :D It would be extremly hard to open-close vent and to keep any air in suit.

close the vent? Normally I put just enhough air in the suit to stop the sqeeze. I would like to get rid of any overpressure at once

You must be able to operate your equipment without efecting bouyancy and trim. The reason why you want to close vent can be if you want to add little more air(argon) to stay warmer during long cold deco.
