Been checking out the weather.......trying to determine where the best site might be for this weekend. Should be getting out either Sat or Sun.

Hows the ocean down your way? I'm thinking Wetherill must be looking like a washing machine. Still want to hit Weekapaug...Contemplating driving to Cape Ann...Folly Cove, maybe Pebble depending how it looks. Need a nice easy entry/exit dive.

No high hopes uop here, at least for the ocean. It's been churning most of the week and the weekend is noe too calm. Might be a fresh water oportunity.

Then again maybe a clean the garage weekend with high hopes for diving over the Thanksgiving weekend.

I dove OGB last Saturday and you couldn't ask for an easier entry from shore. Parking wasn't bad either--drop off gear, short drive to parking area and short walk back. Topside weather was fantastic for Nov. and u/w it was a bit surgy & wavey(until 20fsw) w/ a balmy 49F on the bottom. I'm planning on finishing up my dry suit specialty course w/ Marc from PG Dive this Sat either on CA or Hathaway's...depending on the weather, of course.

Good luck and have fun if you dive,

LobstaMan

last few dives haven't been the best. The water has been soupy for 2 weeks. hopefully sunday will be decent. Might be going out with Chris sunday. open invite.

This is just a busy time of year for me... I wish I could go out more but I have so much stuff to do. I might be able to make it on Sunday though. I'll let you guys know. This weather hasn't been helping much either.

Same here - this is a busy time of the year - everybody trying to make their nut for the end of the year.

On the bright side, I'm picking up my new equipement from my lds this Saturday & will get a chance to swim around in their pool for a while. After that, I'll be packing it away until heading to Arbuba in March.

Peace,

UJ

It's seldom a matter of "if" but "where" based on the conditions. Cat as first choice then Folly or OGB as second choices then Cranes Beach if you are desperate to get wet in any conditions.

Last Sat at Folly was a normal shore dive in these parts as far as I'm concerned. Cat had some swells, over to Folly for 50 degree water, 20' of vis, out and back for 30 min, remove the mask a few times, say hello to the passing diver walking on the bottom (ha ha - never seen someone literally walking on the bottom wearing fins), then off to get a black and tan and some chowder.

Party....

Was ging to do a boat dive tomorrow, but that was cancled do unforseen problems. I plan to keep on diving this year until the water gets below 47 degrees.
