Pre-flooding a Merino lined wetsuit

I dove wet just one year, but a warm pre-flood helped a lot.

I never tried it, but has anyone tried keeping the wetsuit on between dives and covering it with a clear plastic rainsuit? Using such a wind breaker would limit evaporative cooling, possibly even providing solar gain.

That, and another warm pre-flood might get one through the surface interval in good shape.

Also, if you stand in a plastic container, you can catch the warm water for a quick repeat flooding of the suit. A third time wasn't usually warm enough to bother with.... :D
