I need help putting a power inflator clamp back on a Halcyon eclipse wing. I needed to take off the ss (it was leaking badly and I tired of servicing it) type to put on a newer halcyon all plastic model. The clamp from the ss is not fitting tight and I can't it to close to screw it down. Is there a new type that I need or is there a trick to it? The clamp does not even allow me to get the screw connected to the other end. I know I have to put it lower on the inflator so it doesn't pull of. I have tried zip ties but it doesn't really get snug.

Any help would be appreciated.

I always use 2 zip ties, pulled tight using needle-nose pliers, works good for me, and eaiser than trying to get that clamp back on.

Strange. I have take out and put back the clamp a few times. Never had the problem. But if you find it as difficult as you described, zip ties work as good.

You can get the same type of clamp from www.diveriteexpress.com though.

They even recommend a simple zip tie. It works great. You might need completely to clean out a loctite residual from the corruaged hose.
