I just recently purchased both of these fins after I received the turtle fins and noticed how HUGE and wide they were. Unfortunately, I can't get them wet if I want to return one set.

Does anyone have opinions on one over the other? Essentially, the power fins are just narrower versions of the turtle fins/jet fins. I'm only 5'7" and I wanted the narrower fins so I could fit them in my bag, but if the turtle fins have a significant advantage, then I'll keep them instead.

This is not a split fin vs regular fin thread! I use split fins for just regular open diving and want these other fins (DIR/GUE recommended) for wreck diving and eventually cave!

I just want to know if I'm compromising too much if I stick with the narrower power fins!

I have a pair of turtle fins that I wear with my drysuit. I love them and wish they would come small enough for my wetsuit boots. I wear a size 8 or 9 shoe depending on the make. They are just a little bit wide for my attached drysuit boots but the foot pocket height is a good fit.

they are about the same, so personal preference aside, go with the ones that fit better.

for wreck diving, or tight spots in caves, the smaller blades can be an advantage for maneuverability. on the other hand, if one set is more efficient for you (could be either because even though the power fin blades are smaller, they are also stiffer if memory serves right), that's important when covering distance in caves on a third if you are not on a scooter.

personally, I still prefer Scubapro's XL jets, even though my air consumption was about the same on both sets of fins during pool tests in doubles. I only did about a dozen dives on the turtles since the pockets were too large for my feet, but they were too floppy for my taste anyway.
