mmmmmm Chinese food....mmmmm

oops sorry....that was late supper after. Pineapple, oranges, bananas....ok getting hungry

Coookkiees.

lots and lots of cookies.

Doritos.
For whatever reason, sweets make me icky after a dive so I've got to do salty, cheesy goodness.

I like to have a nice cold soda and power bar or such.

During my OW check out dives, my instructor's wife would bring freshly baked chocolate chip and nuts cookies. yum yum good!!

I guess I am that hungery because I don't each much for breakfast or lunch while diving. Don't want to end a dive prematurely due because I need to run to the port-a-pot!

That mix earlier in the post sounds real good.

I have the same problem with a weak stomack on boats, therefore no acidic citrus fruits for me. Hence the bananas, with the added benefit of high potasium content which prevents cramps :)

Thanks for the info on bananas! I also get very quezy before and after a dive. I take ginger but was wondering what you eat before a dive to help with the motion sickness?? I've tried going on a light cereal but I need a bit more to keep me going. Any ideas?

For some reason, lobster comes to mind... Fresh, just picked...

Some boat captains will not allow bananas on thier boat! BAD LUCK!!! Don't let them know you have them...

Of course all the chocolate on the boat will be gone before we make shore...

chocolate chip cookies! they are sooo delicious when it is so fresh and hot!

I like pretzels and oreos. I have trouble keeping the pretzels dry. I'll have to try the Gorp. When we went diving in Key Largo I was a hit with Girl Scout cookies, especially the thin mints.

I got this from a dive buddy of mine and make it before all of my trips:
2 Jars of Peanuts
1 Large Bag of M&M's
1 Large Container of Raisins (1lb maybe?)

Mix it all up and put portions into ziplock bags.
Here in Utah, we call that Trail Mix. Is that just a Utah thing too like Fry Sauce?

On my last dive I got sea sick cuz we were in 8ft. swells on the surface and I was so hungry cuz all I had for breakfast that morning was lime juice bars(very acidic) and so I ate a wheat thin and I threw up over the side of the boat. The funny part was that the DM swam through it. So yeah, now I can't eat lime juice bars or wheat thins, it sucks.
