I've heard some good things about the xstream - tiny, amazing breathing, few failure points. Anyone have a website with factory info or want to comment on this new reg? I may want one of these baby's!!

FWIW, my dive buddy had one for a week and returned it to the LDS. His main complaint was that when he was in a vertical position, the exhaust bubbles were right in his face. The new model first stage that he purchased only had three ports. 1 HP and 2 LP.

I tried it last weekend (thanks to LDS). It is nicely designed and small… Only thing I didn't like was when I did regulator recovery with purge, it purged very strongly. I felt very uncomfortable. However when I asked at the shop, they said that it works very smooth at deep.

Yeah, Poseidon's are like that. I have heard the phrase "hold onto your tonsils" more times than I can count in regards to purging them.

However...great regulators despite that. Once you get used to the strong purge it's kinda nice...definitely empties the water out of it. I never use it really though, if I ever get water into it I just blow it out anyway.

The only downside to the X-Streams from what I've heard is that they only have a few output ports....
