had lunch at rastas. nearly flat. back in 2005 with emily (prior to Wilma) drove around the island the day before the storm hit and it was calm. Now Wilma was something else. East side was closed nearly two days before the storm came in for good reason.
That surprises me; I thought that the storm would have generated a swell on the east side. Onshore swell with offshore wind is ideal for surfing.

We were at Coconuts and noticed the same thing, completely flat when the port was closed. Wished we had our gear. Barely made it out Tuesday last minute as we were all flying home on Wednesday. The coolest wettest whether I have ever experienced in Cozumel, but diving was still great.
