The ocean has been calm and the tide tables looked promising for a dive at the Hermosa Beach Artificial Reef. Visibility is usually poor there, and unfortunately, today was no exception. At times, we could see twenty feet, but most of the time it was much less.

I placed a piece of dead fish under the Rodeo Bar hoping to draw in more Giant Sea Bass. A couple of them sniffed it and swam off. The smaller reef fish had a field day. For the second consecutive dive, the GSBs did not stay under the bar to be cleaned.
