I just got a Bare Supra 7mm drysuit with neoprene seals all around, and everything is perfect except for the neck. When I put the suit on, I rolled the neck down on the inside like I was told, but it still felt rather loose. Sure enough, when I pressurized the suit air escaped from the seal at the back of neck and got worse when I tilted my head forward. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? Is there a way to shrink the neoprene in the seal, or does it just need to be replaced?

Thanks!

Too make a smaller neck you need to cut "wedges" on either side and then re-glue with wet suit cement. (tall thin wedges)

If you got you drysuit from a store (new) IMO they should do it for free....If you bought it used, well...Its not a hard fix, if you are used to repairing wetsuits.

I discovered one temporary trick for solving that problem when I had to use a drysuit with too large a neoprene neck seal for a drysuit class in 39 degree water. I have a 7/5 mm O'Neil hooded vest with the flap around the neck to better seal with a wetsuit. I wore that under the drysuit (hood on my head of course) and it created an excellent neck seal. The only real drawback is it made the neck seal much more difficult to don, you may need help from a dive buddy. This could give someone a way to test out a suit before having the neck seal resized.
