Am looking at 1 of 3 setups all with a button gauge
Any pro's or cons of any one vs the others?

1, Reg pony bottle/Reg setup $450 +/-
Cost depends on the Reg used

2, Zeagle Razor W/20cf bottle $400

3, H2Odyssey Extra Air System $350

What are you planning on doing with this pony bottle?

Most are decorative in nature.

Have found myself alane on dives, while hunting everyone goses out on thier own once they hit the water.
Although I am not all that into Solo diving I know I cant count ov insta-budds

So it is to be decorative then.

Would advise thinking more about watching your SPG and buddy proximity.

Little John,
You may want to consider a different set up for that. A 30 cu/ft tank can be had for $130.00, A pony reg (Buechat) can be had for $99.00 and a button guage is $30.00. This gets you a reasonable Pony that can be used as a stage for $250.00, and all you have to add is your mounting hardware.
Just a thought. PM me if you have any questions.

When I drove to work today I watched my speed and other vehicle proximity. I still wore my seatbelt.

Yep still can use the pony, no matter how good the buddy.

Get a 19 to 30 cf aluminum Luxfer tank. Get a relaible regulator like the plain old Titan or Calypso or such as that. Get the button guages on sale now at DiveRite Express. Sling it on your harness. Ignore the anti-pony doubles for everything hype.

I agree with Nemrod on this one. I use a 30cf aluminum tank, slung and just toss one of my stage regs on it when I'm doing a dive where I want the "security" of the pony bottle. You'll hardly notice it, and you don't need a high end reg for it, just something reliable.
