Increase the number of characters available in a polling question.
Allow poll editing for a limited time after posting. Even 3-5 min. would be useful, at least a couple min. Sure it may skew the poll results a little, but so what, they're usually messed up enough as it is.
Allow simultaneous posting of poll and original thread post. Right now the thread post must be posted before work on poll can commence, and there is a 5 min. time limit within which to finish and post the poll.
