I

If you can’t get a plus on a tank that comes with REE stamped on it, find a new hydro place right away!
And why do you think I just asked him?

I've lost one tank at the first hydro due to incompetence, and have no "+" stamps on modern LP tanks that have been requalified. The hydro facilities here are abysmal....

I take mine to the local fire extinguisher place and do the rest myself

$25 for a hydro only (Massachusetts)

"Hydro" can mean:

1. Just hydro - typically going to a fire-extinguisher or similar place.
2. hydro + VIP + fill - At scuba-shops.

I'll have to check on #1 again this year, but I believe the prices are:

1. $20 to $25 for just hydro.
2. $50 to $60 for the full thing.

For reference, VIP + Fill at shops is $20 (typical) to $25.

Low of $20. Shop was having a sale, did work in house, brought in 5 at once, requested only 2 to be filled.
High of $50. Shop farmed the hydro out to another shop but did the vis and fill in house.

This is all in the past 5 years.

That's a whole nuther other poll !! Don't blur the lines ....

[Should we include the cost of perfectly good tanks they ruin?]
