If you are still looking for side mount system take a look on xdeep website (xdeep . pl). There you will find also great gear (do not have but heard many good words).

The xDEEP's site is currently only in polish, but in next 2-3 weeks the new website will be launched and it'll be available also in english.

The xDEEP Stealth 2.0 was designed together with Patrick Widmann from Protec Mexico, who previously has been working on Eques Side Mount design (the whole story is available here: Cave Diving in Mexico – Whats new in Protec - Mexico Cave Diving & Cave Training - ProTec Blog — Mexico Cave Diving & Cave Training – ProTec Blog).

Our goal was to create very flexible system, which:

1. Finally resolve weight problem - the flexible weight system allows you to place the center of gravity exactly where it should be, no matter if you use drysuit with a thick insulation or a drysuit. The result is a perfect trim regardless of the configuration used.

2. Can be quickly adjusted - shoulder straps, weight strap and crotch strap are fully independent. It's very important for instructors when adjusting their studens' harnesses or when you often change between drysuit and wetsuit.

3. Is comfortable - soft pads makes it very comfortable when it's used with thin drysuit.

And finally... the buoyancy device: It's double layer (important on the wrecks), CE certified BC, made from the best fabrics manufactured solely in Germany and USA (Cordura 1100 dTEX). It has uniqe construction of the inner bladder, which makes it very anatomical and prevents from protruding from the diver's body.

One of the unique features is the over pressure valve placed on the center, which can be activated by left or right hand.

Please note, on the pictures shown on the website there's older version of the wing, which looks quite big. The current version can be seen on banner at the xDEEP Sprz?t Nurkowy - Skrzyd?a, worki, kompensatory p?ywalno?ci, bojki nurkowe, p?etwy jet, jackety, dir

The whole system will be available in Protec in few weeks.

Thnx ElBacio and piotr_cc. System looks interesting.

Piotr what's the lift capacity of the wing? Are you planning on offering a butt plate with the system. Also, aside from ProTec is anybody else going to sell it?

System looks interesting.

We've analyzed strong and weak points of the most popular SM harnesses and BCs and designed the product which is not an "
another copy of Razor", but very refined and complete system, which gets very high marks from all, who tested it.

Piotr what's the lift capacity of the wing?

After a very intensive discussion with divers and instructors we've decided that the first version will has 35 lbs (15.5 kg) of buoyancy. It's enough for two tanks up to 12L and drysuit with thick insulation or 5+7 wetsuit.

With this size and a special construction of the inner bladder, it's very very thin in the critical area on the diver's back, so the risk of the puncture is minimized in overhead wreck dives and drag is reduced to the minimum.

We've plans to launch 21kg version of the Stealth 2.0 BC later this year.

Here you can see the whole system in action: https://vimeo.com/35827782

Are you planning on offering a butt plate with the system.

Yes. It'll be available in march.

Also, aside from ProTec is anybody else going to sell it?

In europe it'll be sold in France, Italy and UK by our distributors. In the other countries it could be ordered online. Protec will sell it in Mexico and USA.

Piotr

The Eques system looks interesting and you can see that it has specific aspects designed for cave divers in mind but I'm not too sure about the loose bungee cord on the back and the use of bungee cord and double snap-bolts to secure the bladder at the front. It also seems quite bulky when packed but I guess that's all the additional padding to protect your spine and butt.

Hi Skorpiov, i'm Arthur from Argentine, nice equipment you build. i'm intrested in the back and lower metal plaques. Can you send me more picture of your rigs? thank you.
