Polarized glass

I am not too much up on the technical end of LCD or LED so I just wiki it and hope it is correct.

They must both be polarized light.

The wiki article mentions the use of a circular polarizer to improve the display in bright ambient light. I was wondering why an active display would require polarization.

maybe it has to do with the device being used underwater... some displays loose visibility from different angles underwater, i don't see that issue at all with the ZURICH. (purely a guess on my part tho)
