Point Lobos 2-10-08 reservations...

I just got this reply:

Hi Michael,
Your confirmation number for diving on 2/10/08 is # 09-02-10
I have billed your credit card for a reservation fee of $10.00

No teams will be permitted to register for diving after 3 pm and you will need to
be out of the water 30 to 45 minutes before the posted closing time.
NO DIVER IS ALLOWED TO CHECK IN ALONE. YOU MUST HAVE
YOU’RE PARTNER WITH YOU OR IN LINE!!!! Remember your Certification Card it is a must
Thank you and have a good and safe dive

So that means I'm in, however there is a small problem. I have no dive buddy to dive with. I made reservations for two divers myself and my buddy but I only got charged for one diver. Am I reading it wrong, does $10 dollars pay for yourself plus a buddy?

Anyway, my dive buddy just called me and cannot make that date so I'm in need of a fresh buddy that would like to navigate me through point lobos.

I don't have a scotter so a fin buddy would be preferable and I dive steel 100's and also I am a wetsuit diver I don't want to slow down any of the pro's.

I'm very friendly and a cautious diver, I do nothing that would warrant safety to myself or my buddy.

Anyway if your interested please pm me becasue I don't want to lose this date as I'm already in. I can always try to book another weekend with my original buddy the week after or so.

Reservations are for a team of two. $10 per reservation.

I just got my confirmation for the 10th also. Hopefully the conditions will be diveable this time. I've skipped my last 3 Lobos reservations because of the storms we have been having.

Mike, also be aware that even though you have paid your reservation fee there is also a per-vehicles entrance fee when you enter the park. I think it is $8-10 dollars. And don't forget your C-cards for you and your buddy. And if you and your buddy go in separate vehicles and one of you is running late be prepared to wait in your car at the gate until both vehicles arrive. They wont let divers in alone.

Thanks for the heads up on the vehicles. I didn't know that an extra cost was on its way. No problem for me because I always pay $8 dollars at Break Water everytime I dive that site.
