Good day everyone,

hope you can help me out with this one, i have now lost my hollis led 6 torch TWICE!

i dive a wing with one big utility pocket where i keep my reels and smbs and try and cram my torch into, but having lost it twice now i think i need a dedicated pocket.

any recommendations? i want one with either a clip or zipper as i don't trust velcro.

thnaks in advance

If you have a bolt snap on the end of the light, you can attach it to a D-ring in a backup light manner? If you want to store it in a pocket, I dive pocket shorts with bungee loops inside the pocket, and everything that goes into the pocket is clipped off to one of the loops so that if you pull anything out the rest of the contents of the pocket don't come out along with it.

You can and should put bungee loops in all pockets. Everything that goes in the pocket gets clipped off as well. There are only a few things that can't have clips on them, like wetnotes and adapters.

iPhone. iTypo. iApologize.

Rusty,

Attach a stainless steel bolt snap on your torch with DSMB line - add a little superglue if you are not good with knots.
See below

rectotec: HOW TO: TIE A BOLTSNAP

Put some bike inner tube on your harness. Cut 2 pieces - one is for sliding the torch under and the other is a backup if the inner tube comes off or degrades over time.
Attach the boltnsap to a d ring on your harness and then tuck the body of the torch under the bike inner tube.

For torches you need to be able to access them quickly and putting them on the harness is easy to do and very reliable.

thank you for the answers i will probably switch to storing the "DIR" way from now on. now to submit my insurance claim. they're going to think i'm real idiot. but hey what's the point in insurance if you don't use it?

Add a bolt snap to the light and bungees to your pockets. You can then either carry it in a pocket, or attached it to your shoulder d-ring where it is supposed to be.

lucky for me all the necessary bungee stuff came with my wing. so no need for tire tubes etc.
