Thanks again to all those who have responded to my first two postings on this subject - for those who have come in late I was injured in an assualt 14 months ago and sustained a stab wound to the right side of my chest that slightly nicked the pleural lining but did not penetrate the lung. After receiving conflicting medical advice I asked the opinion of the forum on weather I would be fit for further diving. In my last post on August 2, 2011 I stated that I intended to try a shallow splash and see how things went. I am pleased to report that all was good - I have since done around a dozen dives of varying depthes the deepest being 29 metres and (touch wood) nothing has gone pear shaped. With any luck this will be the last you will hear from me on this subject...
