Playa and Coz Trip report and pics...

Just returned from 10 glorious days in Playa, great diving, exploring, and fun with friends...

It was an awesome 10 days to say the least. Diving with Jason was both an honor and very enjoyable. What he offers with "Fantasea Dive" is truly personalized service and an amazing experience. We dove a total of 4 days, 2 in Playa, and 2 in Coz. While most divers who have been to the region swear "Coz is much better", I don't nessecarily agree. Coz was a bit clearer, but Playa still had 100'+ viz. Coz offers some great walls and structure in general, but Playa beats it hands down for variety and sheer numbers when it comes to fish and aqautic life.

Some of the reefs and spots we were able to dive....

Sabalos Reef
Santa Rosa Wall
Palancar wall
Punta Venado
and the "Mama Vina" Shipwreck off of Xcaret

Both have something unique to offer, and in the future I will probably split my time.

I also was able to dive "Dos Ojos" Cenote. If you dive and haven't done a cenote yet...... DO IT!!!!! What an other worldly experience. I'm currently working on pics from that dive, plus some video.....I'll post it here when Im done.

Did you bring back West Nile Avian Swine SARS? (kidding)
Those are great pics. Can't wait until July and I get to show my kid the joys of warm water diving. Currently he has only dove in chilly California.

Thank you! I'm shooting a DX-1G (Sea and Sea), with 1 ys-110 strobe and 16mm WA lens. Yeah...Jason is a fantastic Guide DM for sure!!

We're headed down in just over a week to do Coz, Playa and a day in the Cenotes with Jason - always a great time! Great pictures!!
