In the US we average 12 dog bite fatalities per year. During the last 15 years Rottweilers and Pit Bull Types together accounted for 60% of those. Before that the numbers were the same but German Shepards led the list.

We average 1300 accidental gun fatalities per year. 200 are children under the age of 14. But it's eaiser to ban dogs than it is to ban guns.

41,616 deaths a year caused by automobiles. but i guess it's a lot easier
to ban guns and dogs =)

No prob with dog and gun laws here. Maybe a bit harder in Florida and Texas though, where I really wouldn't want to live without a handgun anyway...
