So I gave my new Pinnacle Polar 7/5 wetsuit a spin today at Dutch Springs.

The water temp according to my computer was 44F.
My dive was 44 Minutes with a max depth of 71ffw

Although certainly not as warm as a dry suit.. this suit performed AS ADVERTISED and kept me quite warm for the most part.

I had on 5mm booties and gloves and was definitely dumping most of my heat through there.

The only time I felt cold was when my buddy managed to get his reel tangled and I had to wait several minutes for him to get it unfuct.

Once I was moving again I warmed right up. I think my major problem was the heat I was losing through the Boots and Gloves which I can likely remedy somewhat in the future.

All I can say is that the Merino wool lining is the real deal and if you have a good fit you will probably like this suit.

Glad to see the report. Been thinking getting one but just not sure. It will either be the Mares Isotherm or the Pinnacle 7/5.

Do you need to wear.....could you wear....thermal undies and it help.
Not familiar with the suit....is it a partial dry...?

They in no way advertise it as a semi-dry.. it does get wet. The wool just keeps the water from moving around and provides a layer of insulation.

The whole suit gets wet however.
