If your not having any issues, I wouldnt worry about it. Here are pictures of both the old zipper(right) and the new zipper.

Yup, the wife has the old style. While I'll probably take your advice and not worry about, it's at least good to know. It just means I'll be that much more attentive to the zipper when I'm doing checks and maintenance.

fish, check where the pull comes to a stop after you open the suit. Do not put tension on the zip atthis point, by that I mean don't over extend the opening. Thats where it will pull the teeth out

Not always true...Ive had them bust off all over the zipper length....

PS new zipper is and looks BADASS
