very nice

Hey Rob.

Nice shots. Having switched from a dslr, do you mind the user interface very much?

Do you shoot mostly manual exposure? How do you find adjusting the settings underwater?

All menu based is not ideal in my view, but the price for a housing is great! Something like a pany gf1 (while it still had a mode dial and exposure adjustment wheel) or even a gh2 would be much better, as a photographers tool, but the prices for the housings are out of this world.

I guess with pany lenses, the autofocus is plenty fast enough, eh?

The UI is my biggest concern, using this camera underwater. Great IQ though. Did you consider a sony nex?

Thanks for your posts!

The interface does need some getting used to, the adjustment of aperture takes a bit more time compared to al dslr because you have to do so in a menu.
The screen however is very useful while photographing.

The autofocus of the pan 45 mm is not fast but it is not much different from the Nikkon 60 mm macro lens.

I did consider the Sony but in the end chose the Olympus, I am very happy with the housing and camera.

Hey Nikitich!!!
I just got my Oly E-PL2. Is there a way you could post the instructions on how the set up the camera for the SCP??? The manual leaves a little bit to be desired......I am only 1/2 way through it..... But Man I know how to change the battery.....

Olympus EPL1 for dummies is a GREAT book

Most of the pany's have a thumbwheel or 2, for controlling the aperture and/or shutter.
This is far superior to any menu based system, in my experience.
