OK, how's this?

Positive bouyancy= uppity
negative bouyancy=downity
neutral bouyancy=stoppity

DING... DING... DING.... WE HAVE A WINNER!!!! :rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3:

Shouldn't this thread be in the "New Divers and those Considering Diving" forum???

Picky? Not nearly. Picky would be insisting that gravity is not a force at all . . . :D

... but it is assertive!!! :dork2:

Doesn't it all depend on ones emotional orientation?

If I am happy would I not be positively buoyant
Unhappy/angry; negatively buoyant and
ambivalent; neutrally buoyant (or as the mathematical statisticians say "six of one half dozen of the other".

Howsabout . . .

And then, of course, there are those who say that there is no such thing as gravity; the earth just sucks.
By george, that's it!
Earth Sucks
Water Pulls
Air Pushes
As Gregory House would say, "It explains everything."

Okay, so after studying the comments here, and if I understand what "precise" wording truly means, then...

I'm positive (moving upward) that this thread (piece of small string) underestimates the gravity (sucking force) of this discussion. It's hard to stay neutral (neither up or down) on this aspect of physics (something studied by doctors???), but I certainly appreciate the lack of negative (sinking) comments by all the posters (something you see hanging up in the post office).

Are you sure context doesn't have something to do with all this???:D

context = "You have the right to remain.... "

Archimedes Principal or Archimedes Law?

Neither. You spelled both incorrectly. Now let's start a spelling and grammar rant.

Its principle not principal. never mind the missing apostrophes.

Why can't Americans distinguish "loose" from "lose"? :mooner:
