Thurs 24th, Fri 25th, Sat 26th in Anilao. Saturday night sunset cruise (with beer) to PG for Sunday 27th, Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th (AM/early afternoon only).

Had to do drifting deco today at Mapating. We drifted about a mile during the deco. Had the deco been twice as long, we could have turned it into a surface interval and done another dive at Sombrero!

I'm almost in, I need to verify that my a620 does everything in manual mode that I'll need it to. I expect it does but need to verify.

vannie (ubergrlie) was in bora also last weekend... she said she only got 1 dive in because apparently pak's countrymen were on vacation and all the shops were doing intros and open water coral crushing courses

didn't meet him....I dealed with Lee (English), Calypso manager. Also met Borex and Jack both pinoys and dive guides of the shop. We liked their professional attitude.

What time will we start on Aug 24? Will it be purely lectures first or will we already dive on the first day? I need to know if I have to be in Anilao a day earlier (the night before the actual course).

Ladies and gentlemen, we now have the requisite minimum number of 6 confirmed.

Given that we also have two more (Spoon and Wolverine) who can join upon confirmation and Shugar as reserve in case anyone wimps out, we have a full complement,

This means

A) The trip's gonna happen (MV's tickets are already booked) and we need to start looking at the accommodation / boats / road transport etc. I'll start another thread on that shortly.

B) Barring mass cancellations, we have a full house, so no more names will be going on the list. Again, anyone wanting to join a back-up list can PM me, but no guarantees.

C) Where's the pasaway party gonna be? (all invited of course..)

I'm going to miss the first lecture (Aug. 24) since I will only be in-resort around 8-9pm. Maybe Mikey can give some handouts for me to catch up.
