Ladies and gentlemen, we now have the requisite minimum number of 6 confirmed.

Given that we also have two more (Spoon and Wolverine) who can join upon confirmation and Shugar as reserve in case anyone wimps out, we have a full complement,

This means

A) The trip's gonna happen (MV's tickets are already booked) and we need to start looking at the accommodation / boats / road transport etc. I'll start another thread on that shortly.

B) Barring mass cancellations, we have a full house, so no more names will be going on the list. Again, anyone wanting to join a back-up list can PM me, but no guarantees.

C) Where's the pasaway party gonna be? (all invited of course..)
can we now hijack your thread?

Halthron:

I checked and the camera supports:

clgsamson:
I'm going to miss the first lecture (Aug. 24) since I will only be in-resort around 8-9pm. Maybe Mikey can give some handouts for me to catch up.

CLA:
What time will we start on Aug 24? Will it be purely lectures first or will we already be diving on the first day? I need to know if I have to be in Anilao a day earlier (the night before the actual course).

@ caloy - Mike's already put together a course itinerary and will post / circulate it very shortly. I'm sure we can be a bit flexible, so I wouldn't worry.

@ Cathy - The course starts Thursday AM, so if you can get down for Wednesday night, that'll be best. If it helps, Mike and I plan to meet up on Weds 23rd in Manila around lunch, and head South, anyone with suggestions for transport please get in touch.

BTW, I'm not really this boring and serious...shut up, you pasaways!!!!:mooner:

i like 2 dives in the morning and then lecture after lunch and then a third dive late afternoon...

i am sure most of you know how to use your camera already (except Larry.. haha) so divin thurs mornin is fine..

Ya, Caloy, easy to catch you up....

Eric, yep, your camera on full manual is fine... now go buy a strobe! ;)

Oh ****, strobes

*breaks into kids' piggybanks*

Halthron:
I haven't a clue how to start checking for a strobe for the basic housing.

Eric,

I'm going to be getting an ikelite DS125 (maybe 2 *gulp*) for the new DSLR set-up, which should mean that my fisheye tray, locline arms and sea&sea YS25 (all less than a year old) will be on the market.

The sea&sea comes with the fibre optic cable as trigger from the camera's internal flash.

The lot cost me about $410 (inc. delivery from Japan), so if you're interested send me a PM with an offer.
