he'll be shown to be right for this year in 2007. it's a system to help mitigate the swelling of the head.
 
You gotta be aware of that quick disconnect! Sometimes it will inadvertently come apart during the suiting up/gearing up process, or even just by simply bending over at the waist. Definitely a nasty smelly failure point. I'm thinking of re-installing the continuous tube, or just go back to diapers for non-tech recreational diving.
