I am having the luxury of a day off work today and am catching up on Scubaboard after a trip to Liverpool to see Paul McCartney. He was really superb! My husband is the real fan but I have to say, McCartney is brilliant live. The set he played was fantastic and there was a great atmosphere. He added a few new songs last night to the set - Two Of Us and Birthday stand out of those.

This is the third time I've seen him live and he is awesome. If any of you guys saw him elsewhere in the world, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Anyhow, didn't get home till 4am after tired but happy drive! Also today my AOW manual arrived so I'm going to have a great time reading scuba and listening to Macca. Woo hoo!!

I saw him last October in Indianapolis, IN and I was absolutely blown away. I am a HUGE Beatles fan and to think that Macca can STILL pull it off live blows my mind. When I saw him he played for 3 and 1/2 hours and every second of it kicked ass. Does he still close with Sgt Peppers Reprise/The End?

I bet it was REALLY cool to see him play in his hometown :jealous:

Yes - finished with Sergeant Pepper's and The End. 3 hour set.

I saw Paul McCartney live in 1990 at Texas Stadium and it was the best concert I saw for a long time (until later concerts with KISS and Lenny Kravitz). I've always been a big Beatles fan myself, having been to Liverpool twice (and done the Abbey Road walk), and seeing Macca live was a big highlight.

And let's not forget, at the ripe old age of 61 (in a fortnight), he's about to be a dad once again! Well done, Walrus...
