Interesting thread.
For those who have dived in various areas of R4 where do you consider to be the fishiest/ best diving region?

This is only applied at Kri.
If you HomeStay has on site dive operator then you are NOT allowed to dive with other operators.
This is explained very clearly on Stay Raja Ampat home page.

If you want to dive with Soul Divers in Kri then you either stay with them or in HomeStay without onsite dive operator.

Hi, great report, it helped a lot. But I have question about Pam Aibaf homestay. Owner does not understand english much and have not responded to my question about DIN/INT…. do you remember or does anybody know if he has DIN. Otherwise I have to get reduction.
Thanks

They did not have DIN when we visited

carono6333, I just noticed you're in WA. I just got to Perth - staying here for a month just because my wife and I wanted to escape another winter in the USA. We are catsitting, and the owners suggested we head south in WA when we finish here. How's the diving down there? Anywhere I 'must go'?

Anyway - on topic - I am also working on a plan to dive in RA when I leave Australia - probably mid/late Feb. I have no schedule so I can take my time. I've done LOB's twice be Raja - both on Mermaid... But looking into homestay-hopping to have a different experience and stretch the budget. I'll be solo-travelling, and likely without gear (I just have my mask/computer/torch). Your TR gives some great info and I think I'll plan to repeat bit of what you did. I tend to get lonely after a while travelling solo, so maybe I'll do 3wks or so... I'll be keeping an eye out for last-min LOB deals as well, but the right resort can offer >50% less for a great experience.

I'm not from WA but dove the Busselton Jetty when I was down there. Was a cool dive and saw some good stuff. Definitely worth a visit in my opinion.
