So I glued on two pockets and was adding some cord to the D-Rings to clip equipment on. I singed the cord ends, but apparently left one aflame. :depressed:

One pocket melted, along with the wetsuit underneath, leaving a hole that will be about 10" long and 7" wide once I cut out the burned section. The wetsuit is over $300 new (Henderson Aqualock 3mm) and might be worth fixing, if it can be fixed.

Can a hole this size in a 3mm wetsuit be repaired? Is it a DIY job (assuming I don't bungle it up like I did already...) or do I need it professionally sewn and glued? If so, any recommended repair vendors?

Thanks!

Go to Walmart

Gold?s Gym Waist Trimmer Belt - Walmart.com

Cut a piece out the right size. Get some wetsuit glue (NOT aquaseal). Glue in the patch. Then make another damn pocket, (a little bigger this time) and hide your mistake.

Assuming you don't have some decent scraps to cut up.

The dumpster is on the money. Case closed!
