Hi JakeDiver - I've dived in PNG and worked there several times and absolutely love it. Let's face it - it's probably a safer destination than the US at the moment. The diving in Milne Bay would be my preference and a liveaboard would get you to the best sites - with absolutely jaw dropping soft corals and marine life - last time in Milne I saw hammerheads, dugongs, whale sharks. a tiger shark and all manor of vast fish schools and small rare critters. Absolutely incredible. Tawali and Loloata Resorts both of great diving in their areas - including lots of world war 2 planes and other wrecks. This trip is running next year in July https://www.waterlustfiji.com/papua-new-guinea-trip-2026I'm looking to plan a trip to Papua New Guinea in 2027 (have to save up), just seeing if anyone has some insight on a trip like this?
