I'm thinking about custom painting on of my tanks. Has anyone ever done this?? If so, were you successfull or not???

You should find an extensive thread about this a screen or 2 back.

I think the bottom line is that multipart factory finishes have a hard time loking good for a few years and any custom work is destined to go downhill even quicker.

For long term decent appearance a shot blast aluminum finish or galvanized steel is the answer. Not flashy by tidy looking. Save the airbrush and pinstriping for your dive vehicle.

Just my observations and opinions.
