Going down to Tortola June 5-12, and will be bringing my Optima with me.

I am looking to ship cylinders down to the marina, along with my absorbent.

Anyone know if there is somewhere I can get O2 fills? Will I will have a problem getting fills on US-DOT marked cylinders there?

Anyone know what the VAT or customs duties is there? Any help is greatly appreciated.

There's an outfit at Village Cay Marina, Road Town, that's both a dive op and an in-water boat maintenance company -- Aquaventure (AKA We Be Divin') is the dive shop name. I don't recall the name of the other company but the operations are in adjacent buildings. They do their own fills and use Nitrox, so I'd think that they have O2 available for sale.

They also viz and hydro tanks and, from conversations, those standards are the same as in the USA -- if your tanks are maintained & marked you should be OK.

You may also ask them about shipping & customs -- and also check with the Post Office. Saw many USPS Priority Mail cartons in stores when I was in the BVI last fall. Highly recommend much padding in sturdy cardboard as many of those boxes were damaged or crushed in transit.

Are you kidding? Dive shops have a difficult time getting o2 kits filled, usually only a 1700 fill.
Import duties are around 20%

Thanks for the help guys.

1700 is plenty - that 11 cubic feet, and I can get almost 4 hours from that.
