Yes I saw the Atlanta - Bonaire flight , how nice ! How lucky they are do be able to fly nonstop to Bonaire.

We went out of Melbourne, FL and some others out of Orlando in August for a little more than Insel. We were on Delta all the way with an overnight in Atlanta in order to be sure of making the Bonaire flight.. We did that partly because we needed to be there before Insel arrived so we could meet arriving people. There is an added advantage getting there before 2 pm--orientation and a dive the arrival day rather than the next morning........

When we used Insel a few years earlier, I monitored their departures from Miami for a couple of months--during that time, Insel left late an average of 40 minutes with the longest 3 hours. No flights cancelled out of Miami during that time.

I used Flight Tracker as mentioned by WW on page 2.

Did any of you that flew with Insel and had delays. . Had trip insurance ?

Hey. Yeah I've already heard about what happened last week. I put in a refund request with priceline and escalated the problem with the travel insurance. And included the article that says they're suspending international flights as my documentation along with all the other stuff.
So I'm just gonna sit here and wait to see who refunds me.

I stayed over once - never again. Expensive cab ride and not an appealing place. At least not the hotel I used, not the area it was in.

Also, Insul is having extremely severe problems and will most likely be out of business soon. Divi has put in place extreme limits on weight and limits you to one carry-on item 6.5 pounds. You can pay for more weight but you may be required to check the excess weight. Also, they make no promises about when your checked bags may arrive.

Fly direct.

I also did an overnight in Aruba - never again. Way, way too expensive and attitude I couldn't believe.

Curacao and Aruba are perfectly nice places to stay. If you pick the cheapest crappiest place available it may not be a great experience, but that's pretty much universal.

The people in Curacao at the airport are some of the rudest people I've ever had to deal with... I would never ever fly to or through that island... I have already spent $150+ a ticket just to fly direct to Bonaire for me and my wife... It was that bad in Curacao and on Insel...
