Out Of Air Poll

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think it only fitting that as a complement to my pony vs no pony question that an out of air poll be taken. I think we should limit this poll to dives under 60 feet and EXCLUDE Wreck Penetrations,Decompression Dives, Caves etc.. Please lets get as many responses as possible.
Thanks, Ed

Isn't that why everone should use a "J" valve?

Seriously, haven't had it happen, but I do think about it.

Don Burke:
I still think it is a bad idea to run out of gas.

I agree (is NSS a acronym we can use?):D but I meant any situation where nothing was coming out of your 2nd or alternate. Reg problem, catastrophic hose leak etc.

I think _all_ of those are bad ideas.

Boring, but no, haven't had that experience. My Instructor taught me to monitor consumption, quickly learned a bit about gas management (including some really good writeups here on SB), and I cross-check with my buddy frequently.
I also carry Mr Ed -- I'm an engineer, anal about some things, and I jsut don't have good gills.

What does the CS in CSEA stand for? I can think of a number of rude acronyms, but it wasn't taught when I got certified. (or if it was, I can't remember 'cause I suffer from CRS.)
