Glad you got to see some snow, and the trip sounded like a lot of fun!
Those that came to CO to see snow over the holidays likely saw more than they bargained for! I70 (think I95, only surrounded by mountains so no alternative routes) was closed both directions for 50 miles in Summit county (Breck, Keystone, Vail area) on December 30th~31th stranding thousands of tourists, and travelers!
I envy you Speargirl, you met some folks on my *list* to meet for sure!
