My dive profile from 6/24/07 when the flight deck was at 133'
26% Nitrox in HP Steel 120cf cylinders.

1st Dive. Max depth 124', Temp 75 degrees, BT :41 minutes.
SI of 1 hour and 36 minutes
2nd Dive. Max depth 133', Temp 76 degrees, BT :41 minutes.
All dives were within my computer's NDC limits.
Dive charter was Scuba Shack in Pensacola, FL

On the second dive I was chased up the anchor line by my computer warning 1 min left of NDC. A safety stop of 5 minutes was done at 50' mark (at the DMs request) in addition to the 3mins at the 15' mark

Very nice profile, I was diving aluminium 80, and using a suunto VYTEK computer w/ very conservitive program. Wish I had more bottom time. Perhaps next time I'll dive doubles and do a deco dive. This time I was limited as much on no deco time as I was in calculated bottom time/air usage.

Why did you go deeper on your second dive than you did your first dive?

Why did you go deeper on your second dive than you did your first dive?

On the first dive the plan was to do a little recon of the site. We knew we would have two dives so the second would be to investigate interesting stuff we didnt do on the first dive.
On the initial decent (Dive 1) we were going down on the port side of the boat, over the bottom. (Diving the Mighty O is limited to the tower structure unless you are tech certified with a dive plan) Passing open door after open door, kind of like in an elevator with no bottom in sight, you tend to get a little deeper than you think and our NDC was coming fast for that depth. Swimming around the end (over the flight deck) we ascended a little to conserve bottom time and stay in a NDC dive. Doing this we missed hitting the flight deck on dive one. On the second dive I wanted to actually put my feet on the flight deck just so I can say I did it. Already having plenty of nitrogen loaded we only made the one "touch and go" and them it was back up.
While on the flight deck you couldnt see the edges of the deck anywhere. The deck was covered with new growth and looked like the bottom, you could just make out lines of bolts going off in all directions. The vis was probably 30-50 that day, and was overcast.

I think that would be a great idea. I wonder if there are enough people interested in deep wreck diving to do it.

Oh heck yea!! The main problem would be picking the right weekend.
