Has anyone seen a un-bias review of the cressi airtech? Most that I've seen are either all for or all against.
Surely there is a review site out there that spells it all out like it really is.

Secondly, anyone here done an intro course for trimix?, if you have what reg{I'm going for cressi airtech......hence the question} did you use and what was your experiance ???:eyebrow:

The absence of unbiased reviews is discussed here fairly regularly -- Undercurrent gets high marks (but is mostly about places rather than gear) and the UK magazine DIVER is respected by some. DIVER references the Airtech twice in their online content:

Really not a bad reg... pneumatically balanced and breaths well... One thing to watch out for - Beware of their Diaphragm 1st stages. We got some in, and normally on diaphragm 1st stages, you take an allen wrench and turn a screw to change the intermediate pressure. Turns out on the Cressi, you can move this adjustment with just your thumb! By just twisting my thumb, I can change the IP from 230 psi to 10 psi.... Oooops... Little design flaw there!

I called cressi and they were not aware of it - then check it out and said "Damn... you're right". I suggested perhaps blue locktite on the nut - and they said - Good idea... try that!

The piston 1st is standard ScubaPro design - and seems fine - so over all - good breathing - easy to work on - but do the piston version. If you want a diaphragm - the Aeris Atmos Pro is a balanced piston with swivel and pneumatically balanced as well. On our machine and from breathing them, they spec'ed out pretty close.

If you were going to look at that reg style I would recommend staying local with the cloner Scubabpro. IT is a hell of a lot easier to get parts and service and other crap for as it is local. The cressi may perform similarly but parts warranty and those things will be a lot more work. Just my opinion, I would look at other brands that if not local to the continent are at least easy to get parts for (i.e.-apeks.)
