Hi everyone. New to the board and already gleaning a lot of useful info. I did a search of the threads for anything on Beuchat BC's and didn't find much. I am looking to upgrade and have been considering Seaquest's Pro Unlimited when I got into a discussion on the relative merits of Beuchat BC's with a LDS owner who sells both brands. I had heard of the brand, but other than that, know nothing of it. He claims that the Beuchat is made of more durable material and has better stitching. All this at a better price than the Seaquest. Like a lot of you, I rely quite heavily on Rodale's reviews, but as far as I know, they haven't included any Beuchat equipment in their reviews (at least no BC's). I'd like to hear from some people that have first hand experience with Beuchat.

OK...so I'm guessing there's just a handful of you out there who dive with Beuchat equipment and none of you have seen my post yet. Could you at least say something like: "hey, welcome to scuba board. sorry we don't know much about beuchat, but If something comes up we'll send it your way" That way I won't feel like you're ignoring me. Thank you!

Hey...welcome to the board...never dove a Beauchat...but I own a SeaQuest Pro QD....

but I havent dove it since I have gone over to a bp and wing. That is what I would recommend at this point and wish I had started with a bp and wing. But for each his own.

It is frustrating I know when you ask a question and get no answers. Hang in there....that really does seldom happen. But if you would like to know more about a bp and wing feel free to pm me.

Also....you will find that LDSs only recommend what they sell. Its the way the industry works......unfortunately.

I don't know anything about Beuchat BC's. Hardly ever see them mentioned anywhere.
Seaquest is a better known brand but that doesn't mean it's any better.

Sorry I can't help with either of those brands. There lot's of good BC's around. I use a Zeagle Stiletto, so if your open to another brand I can recommend that one.

Actually I have been considering a Zeagle Tech. It seems like a good solid BC.

Zeagle is considered a high-end brand known for quality and service. A tad-bit pricy maybe but you usually get what you pay for.

The Tech is a pretty heavy duty rig but if that's what you're looking for I sujspect it would be a good one and guaranteed to fit you right.

I had a Beuchat Master Lift Tec BC and really liked it. A little more lift than needed for the tropics but worked great there and with a drysuit. After 10yrs of use, probably 1000dives I finally retired it.

I have a Beuchat BCD. I have done almost 300 dives on this one and it has been great. It fits very well and is made tough as nails. I would recommend there products. They are not cheap but like everything else you get what you pay for.

I have been diving Beuchat equipment for many years and you won't find too many Americans diving said equipment as it is very hard to aquire parts and accessories here in the states due to the company removing dealerships many years ago.
It is even hard to find reviews on said equipment.
That being said, IMHO I believe Beuchat products are some of the best in the world!
